well in september some boy ran a stop sign and i smashed a brick wall, literally... as i have been dealing with the ripple effect of being slammed into the brick wall, i have run into several figurative brick walls, some funny- some not so much.
Wall #1. the physical healing of my silly neck. you know i am just sick of it hurting. so i am continuing to live my active life and living through tremendous amounts of pain, we'll see how long i can keep working through it before i have a meltdown. that will be entertaining. physical therapy is helping. i am able to move better.
Wall #2. i am searching for somewhere to live, but i keep hitting brick walls as i try. i am not miserable where i live, but i am definitely very uncomfortable. smelliness, brown water, smallness, hauling laundry to the laundry mat, kitchen made for 1, these are the luxuries over here!
Wall #3. people people people... i mean what happened to kindness? what happened to pride in customer service or your job? what happened to dedication? what has happened to our generation? everyone expects to hold their hand out and it instantly be filled without putting forth an effort or offering a helping hand. does our generation even know what "going the extra mile" or "serving" mean?? what about kindness? i recently went to the great american cookie co in the mall. i asked for extra scoop of icing on my double doozie. the girl working the counter told me no that i could not have it bc she was "busy" monday when she had been standing around not doing anything. instead of fulfilling my request (that i offered to pay extra for) she stood there and argued with me. the manager was no help she said she was ask the girl what really happened. i was horrified at the service at the GREAT AMERICAN COOKIE CO.... rude rude rude! i don't understand how people can be so ugly. i guess they are unhappy with themselves and choose to take it out on others. well personally i wish they would keep their unhappy ugliness to themselves!
Wall #4. do you know how gross it is to wear an ugly thong, then let your jeans hang down. you are just nasty. plain ole nasty. when did things like this become acceptable in our society. GROSS!!! please, 1 pull your pants up, 2 wear cute drawers if you are going to be flaunting the, 3 wear clothes that are your size, not 3 sizes too small. please cooperate with these simple fashion rules. everyone will benefit!
i have more, i will add on later.

the week of easter
so this week is Easter right?
well yesterday, my sweet little neighbor passed away. she died in her sleep during the night. so sad for her family, but what a peaceful way to die. a couple of thousands of years ago, he died a brutal, tragic death for you and for me-- our sin... funny how we take that for granted. we continue to sin and to not do things that are pleasing to God. randy, our preacher, was talking about how when jesus was going into the city on what we know as palm sunday and he was weeping for the people and their mistaken him for a military leader. how many times has he wept because of me or you? and how many times has your heart been broken for the lost around you? we sing this song at portico and those are some powerful words! it is an emergency! take action people! you only get one chance to go to live forever in eternity with Jesus! i don't want you to miss this!
There are many prodigal sons
On our city streets they run
Searching for shelter
There are homes broken down
People's hopes have fallen to the ground
From failures
This is an emergency!
There are tears from the saints
For the lost and unsaved
We're crying for them come back home
We're crying for them come back home
And all your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home
There are schools full of hatred
Even churches have forsaken
Love and mercy
May we see this generation
In it's state of desperation
For Your glory
This is an emergency!
Sinner, reach out your hands!
Children in Christ you stand!
Sinner, reach out your hands!
Children in Christ you stand!
And all Your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home
so this week, celebrate the resurrection of our lord and savior, who was, who is and who is to come!!!!
