This is what I do...

So I haven't been doing much but working lately. I think I should share a little bit about what I do. I work for a local lifestyle magazine. I sell advertising. It is tons of fun! A typical day consists of contacting clients working with the designers to get ads and ad proofs. We work together to brainstorm editorial content. It's great to help clients make their businesses successful with advertising! Our magazine is perfect for them!! I work with the most fun people in the world! We have a very small staff. 4 full time people and 2 part timers. Here are some photos from recent events we have attended.

This is Cassie, our publisher, me and Kourtney, a fellow sales gal at an event for the local college.

I occasionally edit the magazine. Crazy things happen late at night...

We were tired...

Revolution Runway is a fav event of the DS crew! We didn't plan on matching. We kind of have a problem with matching on a daily basis. It happens often.

These are the girls at Cassie's 30th Birthday Party.

Ok so I just wanted to share what I did and how much fun I have doing what I do!

hello, my name is sarah.

hello, my name is sarah. I graduated from high school with honors. I have a college degree in general studies with a concentration in family and consumer sciences. I have worked at the same job for the past year and a half. This will become my career. I worked in high school as a child care provider and also at the Children's Museum. I did those same jobs in college along with working at a car dealership for 3 years and working as a United Way 2-1-1 call specialist for 1 year. I continue to be doubted or seen as a person not capable of doing a task asked of me to accomplish even before I have tried. That blows my mind. Ok enough with my little venting. Just know, I am capable, and if I am not, I WILL say so. Also, I will BELIEVE in you every time I am given an opportunity!
Disclaimer: I am not bragging or wanting a reaction. I am basically needing to say these words & here they are.
Also, watch for the upcoming posts from recent fun times!
Love!

i feel as though i should blog...

i have nothing to blog about though...
to be continued.......................

....... I am continuing.
The 4th of July was a great day! I shared the morning with some very special people to me. The memorial service for the grandmother of the sweet girls i used to pick up from school. It breaks my heart to see them sad. I am thankful to know we have a Jesus who loves us and provides unconditional love and comfort in times such as these, well everyday! Blessings abounding everyday!
I came home to good ole West Monroe, yes I live over the bridge. I spent the afternoon hanging out and enjoying good eats with the Camerons. My friend, Patricia's, family was in town. I decided my contribution would be my Granddaddy's homemade ice cream recipe!

Here the kids are playing in the sprinklers... 4th of July style!

This is Patricia's sister, Lisa, and her daughter, Nicole!

Patricia's parents enjoying watching their grandchildren play!

Ok so we started the ice cream outside and it took FOREVER to freeze!! We were getting quite impatient!

Patricia and I watching the sprinkler action!

Nicole and I met Libby and others to watch the annual fireworks on the river.

Happy 4th of July!
Love!
