the bridge

When my parents' house sold, I moved into a stinky apartment, over the bridge. Here it is, looks cozy on this cold evening.

I don't mind it, but it is tiny and it is stinky. I have tried to rid this place of this stink. Anyways, that is so not the point of my post. Since I live over the bridge, I have to cross the bridge every day. That makes since, right!? I always see crazy things on the way to and from work. This week, yes I know it is only Tuesday, I have seen crazy things. Since it is dangerous to take a pic with the iPhone and drive, I am going to paint a word picture for you.
Bridge Walker Monday: This lovely gentleman was dressed perfectly. He was average height, no hair. A white male. He was matching head to toe. He was even wearing a terrible homemade scarf made in Saints black and gold. Bless him.
Bridge Walker Tuesday: Today as I got to the base of the bridge on the Monroe side, there was a man who was walking on the sidewalk toward West Monroe. This gentleman was average height, again no hair. Also a white male, not the same as Monday. He was dressed much differently than Monday Bridge Walker. He was wearing a poofy coat and baggy jeans. He, however, was not wearing a shirt. It caught my eye because he had what looked like healing knife wounds-- ALL OVER HIM! Bless him.

I thought these were both very abnormal and I should share. Funny! Funny!

january/first of february

Hello out there!
Lots of things have been going on! Well not a ton because of these silly shots. Speaking of the shots, this last round has thrown me for a loop. I've been really sick from this round. Anyways. I joined a Batch Cooking/ Freezer cooking group. My friend Rebekka and I are the leaders of our group. We had everything planned out perfectly. We just didn't anticipate how long it would take us. Here are a few pics from the day.

This is our table of our supplies for the day... Look at all of that food!

Rebekka and I were apron wearers for the day!

This is Jessica and I after the day of cooking.
Monroe had our annual Mardi Gras parade this past Saturday. I went with some of the girls. Missy and I headed out after the parade was over. It was a fun evening, but I was exhausted.

The Saints won the Superbowl--- this is the biggest news of the year! So proud to be a "louisiana girl"! I got to watch the game with my church folks.

This was the set up for the night. These were the intense game watchers.

Sweet Allie Kate and me posing for a picture!

Some of the girls!

It has been a fun couple of the weeks, minus the shots.
